What to Expect During Your First Visit?
Once a plan has been decided on, it is discussed with the patient before implementation. If the patient consents to the treatment plan, treatment will start immediately and follow up visits are scheduled.
Near Infrared & Light therapy forms part of our advance wound care program during every visit. If Intermittent Vacuum therapy is indicated to promote blood flow, increase lymphatic drainage and enhance healing, Vacumed treatment is added to the treatment plan.
The first consultation takes approximately 60 - 120 minutes, depending on the complexity of the wound and underlying conditions.
Payment arrangements
Please note that this is a private practice, charging at rates recommended by the Society of Private Nursing Practitioners.
After the first consultation, a full assessment is compiled and submitted to the involved medical aid for authorisation to allow the patient to claim back from the medical aid if funds are available.
All consultations must be paid immediately, and authorisation is no guarantee of full reimbursement from the medical aid - the account holder remains responsible for the account.
